Denise Austin is an American fitness and exercise expert, author, columnist and instructor. She is also a member of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. I used to work out daily watching her either on early morning tv or my own videos.

Just received an exercise tip in the mail from Denise and wanted to share it with you. I spend most of my workout time doing Qi Gong and Yoga with a variety of DVD's but there are many people who might want this short quick tip from Denise(5 minutes, 2-3 times/week) on getting 'dancer legs' as she calls it.

I would say its a quick exercise for anyone who wants to strengthen their legs. I think I'll try it out. Why not…it's only a few minutes a day.

Want dancer's legs without having to go to dance class? Here's a move that will help give your legs that long, lean appearance!

You'll need a chair for support. Start by standing tall, with one hand on the back of the chair for balance and the other on your hip. Begin in "first position" (think ballet), with your toes turned out and your heels touching. Keep your back straight and your abs tight. Dip down by bending at the knees, keeping them square over your toes. Lift your heels off the floor, pushing from the balls of your feet. Straighten your legs, squeezing your buttocks and inner thighs, then lower your heels, returning to the starting position.

The move has four steps — plié down, lift heels, push up, and heels down to starting position. Repeat the series for two sets of 8 to 12 reps each. Rest for 15 seconds between sets. Fabulous! It's that simple!

For over 20 years, Dr. Peter D’Adamo has extensively researched the connections between blood type, food, and disease. in 1996 his first book, Eat Right 4 Your Type was hailed as the “Boldest of the New Books on Alternative Medicine” by The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. It became an international phenomenon with translation in over 50 languages.

Dr D'Adamo profiles six GenoTypes and explains how we can reprogram gene responses to lose and maintain weight, repair cells, avoid illness and age well.

Who really believes that there's one solution for all of us. I've seen some thin people eat more calories while others struggle keeping the fat off eating much less. Some people are much more sensitive to the environment than others.

The GenoType Diet takes our uniqueness to a whole new level and it covers more than just 'weight loss'.

In this video clip, Dr D'Adamo gives a short synopsis.

Just found this information on his blog.

What is the GenoType Diet anyway?

What if you were handed the perfect diet, a diet literally programmed for your unique genetic makeup—a diet that will maximize your health and well-being? The GenoType Diet is that revolutionary step. Using inventories of key genetic information, family history, blood type and individualized diagnostic tools such as fingerprint analysis and measurement of jaw angle, finger length ratios and space between knees and feet, you will be able to determine your genetic makeup and design your own dietary, therapeutic and preventive strategies. The GenoType Diet shows which genes are turned on and which are turned off and gives you a plan of attack for changing the expression of your genes—you’re not stuck with what you were born with. Whether you’re 18 or 80, you can unlock the keys to your genotype, the previously hidden strengths and weaknesses that inform your destiny.

Note: The price of admission includes a copy of the book and guarantees you a signed copy. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, as space is limited.
