Qi Gong With Lee Holden

1

lee_holden.jpgLee Holden is an internationally known instructor in meditation, tai chi, and qi gong, lecturing and teaching workshops in the United States, Europe, and Asia.  PBS introduced Lee to me, thankfully.  I have never enjoyed moving my body and working out as much as I do with all of Lee's DVD's and I can do the workouts at home.

Addiction is a word(good in this instance) I often use to describe my feeling about this thirty minute exercise.  If I do it daily, I feel good.  If I don't, I have to work at feeling good.  By the way, it's an amazing muscle and bone strengthening exercise although you'd don't feel the strain as when lifting heavy weights or working on machines at the gym.

Qi gong is a form of energy-enlivening exercises originating in China. Practiced by millions around the world (and practiced by over 80 million people in China), qi gong delivers a complete body/mind/spirit type of workout. In the United States, many of the health and fitness experts are calling qi gong the “new Yoga.” Qi gong is an excellent method to develop strength and flexibility, increase energy, boost the immune system, clear stress, and calm the mind.
